The Democrats are doing an all night marathon session or something trying to get an anti war resolution passed. There isn’t much to blog about these days. It’s kind of a matter of just waiting for all the political dust to settle. Abraham Lincoln apparently wrote a letter in 1848 to a lawyer coligue of his in which he said that our Constitution was framed in order to prevent “Kings” from going to war for trivial reasons and impoverishing the very people whom he claims to be waging the war for. Abe was much less dovish later on. Abraham Lincoln was at that time against the Mexican War and he thought that President Polk was engaging in an unconstitutional act in making war against Mexico. I guess we should poll the people of San Antonio and see if they’d rather they were speaking Spanish now. The whole line of thought was “George Washington chipped down the cherry tree and out of that box he made with the cherry wood he put in all the tools that he and all other Presidents would need. But George Bush has chosen to completely redefine what the office of President is. Yesterday Larry Elder had Olivia Dukakis and some Black Muslem preacher (?) speech exerpts in which both compared 9 – 11 to the burning of the Reishstag and thus allowing the Nazi regeime to assume new “emergency” powers. Thom Hartman refers to the “legasy” that this President will leave to his successor, Hillary Clinton. And if you’re a conservative you might not like the power precidents set by this President that President Hillary now assumes. For instance, Vlatamir Putin had his 9 – 11 with the Chechnyan rebellion. But if Putin played under the same rules as President Bush, Putin would be able to come into another country and “render” a prisoner and take him back to Belerus or some place to be tortured or held indefinitely without charges being filed. We wouldn’t like that. Larry Elder raised the issue of “They’re calling the President a fascist dictator but they aren’t being thrown in jail. They couldn’t criticize a leader in a Moslem country”. My response is that “we aren’t there- - - Yet”. We aren’t yet to where you can be thrown in jail for political speech, but we are well headed in that direction. Conservatives draw a false dichotomy between Freedom and Security saying to have more of one is to sacrifice the other. Freedom is an act of citizen choice. Leo Le Port said that the computer exists in an entirely “deterministic” Universe. If something goes wrong it’s entirely the operator’s fault one hundred percent of the time. But Leo also said, “As far as the human brain is concerned it might well be the same determinisum that rules us. The age old question is whether man posses a soul that has free will or is he a deterministic biological organisum?” Locke criticized the “Divine right of Kings” but in turn said that we all have a Divine right- - and among these rights is Free Will. But only a few people in the past have had the ability to luxuriate in this Free Will. Most people have lived and slaved away at their jobs like dogs serving their masters, and have died in poverty. The Bible itself says in essence the first thing you need to do to make a man free is to emancipate him from slavery to the System. This is what Roosevelt and other democrats have sought to do. Blacks have said for decades, “The system always keeps you down”. There was a book out in the thirties called “War is a Racket”. You should read it. I did not know till I learned it yesterday that until the 1950’s the ‘Military Industrial Complex” did not exist. That is- - having certain industries dedicated all the time to making war implements. And many people see inlisting in a War as the only way out of economic poverty. And when they do it they aren’t entitled to the rights they used to have as far as getting sufficient leave time to “unwind” from their duties in the Iraq War. Ron Hubbard has said that the primal urge of every living thing is to “survive”. This is why evolution occurs as we said in our last posting. Most animals are not really “Free” because they simply do not have the time that the Ancient idle Greeks had to just “sit around and reflect”. I maintain contrary to what Jesus Christ on KFI says that I do NOT have “Free Will” because in my life for the most part I have not had a wife and for many years I have not had a job. I don’t even have the luxury of deciding “Now that I’m Free, what do I want to do to help out the church”. It’s easier for an Evil person to be free because he is not constrained by societal morality like the rest of us are. Christians work “outside the box” in that they use tacticts on you that aren’t kosher. They play unfairly in the debates of life. They run a crooked game. The Egyptian scientists may have had idle time to speculate about the meaning of life- - but they did it at the expence of the vast multitude of slaves. Christianity is the enemy of Freedom and the founding fathers knew this instinctively. They knew that if religion of an institutional nature were given free reign that it would oppress people like the Catholic Church did for a thousand years, and like the Nazis wanted to do for a thousand years. John Lock saw it as in inherent right of man to be Free and thussly to throw off shackles of anyone who would oppress him. The oppressor has freedom. Bullies have freedom. But since they are selfish they want to keep it to themselves. Evil people have no problem with freedom. Jesus Christ has said that Satan has the “right” to Free Will. But so many of the rest of us don’t even have the option of Freedom because we are enslaved, as I have elaborated above. Desire is a normal and healthy human emotion. John Locke hails the Desire to be free. And yet in many religions Desire is seen as a sin. There is one movie I saw decades ago in which there was this slave or a Black pretending to be a slave (“The Skin Game?”) and one day he was showing Whitey he could talk White and hold an intelligent conversation with the best of them. And the white bigot says, “Well I’ll be damned. I never heard a nigger talk like that before”. Then he pulls out a gun and says, “You talk like that any more and I’m going to blow your head off”. Too much of Christianity consists of man of any race trying to act like a “good nigger”. Did he put on the right act? They WANT you to put on an act. Kings want commoners to put on an act. But at least Kings will be honist enough to say when they send you to the gallows “You didn’t ACT properly in the presence of a King”. Christians demand that man renounce his Freedom and each and every one of his rights. “You have no rights” is a common axiom in my church. But when a man pays for sex he knows he’s getting a whore. The people who run Christianity are tricks with a big ego who think that the lip service people give them is completely voluntary- - when in reality it is anything but.
A couple days ago I had a talk with you know who under the general principle of “even when someone is dumping garbage on them there’s still a chance that you could learn from them”. Janet said the reason why she didn’t participate more in that conversation is “she listens to everyone else”. Listening is a valuable asset if you use it correctly. People like Mom read book after book so that their minds are awash in new information, but I wonder how much of that knowledge is incorporated usefully.
There is a saying by Rush, “He a little afraid of dying, but he’s much more afraid of your lying”. I take this to be one of two scenarios, and there are undoubtedly more. Either he’s talking about a military situation where you’re a trooper on the front and thusly are a “point man” and run the risk of getting killed first, and what you want to know is are you fighting for the reasons you were TOLD that you were, or are you being lied to and propagandized. In the Christian contexts I myself saw my life’s existence as being “on the front” and I’m not afraid or “ashmed” of “dying for my Lord”, provided he is who [name withheld] and Chuck Smith says he is, or am I in a situation where if I knew the whole truth- - Christianity would be something I would want no part of.
It turned out to be Patty in case you are wondering. I had the TV on last night during Jeopardy and Wheel but I was on computer desk top looking up “Universe”. There were “Ten weird things in space” from Earthlink, but I was looking for still another site. (added: I believe the reason the Universe "accelerates away from us" so fast is because we are inside a black hole and at a "beyond the speed of light" differential in speed from the outside space.) I needed to clear the cache, I believe, because I kept clicking on the same letter. They would give you the text of each mailing but not the links unless you clicked something that was “stuck in a groove”. To make a long story short after checking both E mail sites and looking for “musical instruments” I finally isolated the mailing I was looking for because I thought (correctly) that the astronomy site was in the same letter with that “rare musical instruments of the world” mailing, which turned out to be on page five or something. It’s amazing how much stuff Desktop throws up that you don’t remember visiting. The astronomy site was around August 24th. 2006 and features green print on black background. There were Fourteen facts about the Universe you don’t know- - and some other stuff. Nothingness isn’t nothing but filled with all sorts of sub atomic material. They said “gravity” and “time” were essentially the same thing. This bolsters Star Trek and also the Federation’s use of the term “gravimetric interference”, which alludes to time shift while space folding. They said “Your Space” is not the same as “My Space” and Einstein said that reality truly is different for you than for me. They said many phenomina of nature can be explained by exploring non related physical patterns that are similar in appearance, such as the “billiard ball” analogy used to describe the force the graviton exerts. Further, they said that many truths cannot be rationally isolated and belief in such things as UFO abductions and astrology and ghosts and spirits, may indeed have some basis of reality behind them. This is all a lot to think about.
I yielded to the flesh this morning and got coffee and Ace cigarettes after breakfast. They didn’t open the doors till just after seven thirty, so it seems that will be a permanent trend. We had oatmeal and a bagel with cream cheese on it and a slab of hashed browns and no seconds, except for coffee which, fortunately, was strong. We all lined up for our medication from Oscar before breakfast. Last night it was cold. That housekeeper had put such a thin bedspread on my bed and [name withheld] has had the A C cranked up since July 7th. so I was so cold I went rummaging through the drawer to look for something else to put on. Other people including Bill had the same problem, along with Rene and Lilly. Lilly now says because of my inspiration she has decided to quit smoking. I took a long hot shower but the A C was still piping in chilled air. I still have that swelling in my wrist that must have come from sleeping on it or something. I should ask the doctor about it but [he] hasn’t been around here in some time. I also have that [deleted] problem I have had since the morning of the twelfth. In general I still feel as if I am under a bit of a jinx when began Saturday July 7th.
