Meditating On The Cross

First of all Google has shortened up their "pages" or number of postings on one page.  It isn't just me.  This current run according to them has already gone too long.  So here is what you do.  Go down to the lowest blog posting you see on this page and look at the title or opening line.  Then go back up to "Previous postings" and click on that same title and you should see "Previous Postings" from that point.  But click on a posting name rather than a Month because though a Month used to assure a full run of eight or so postings I'd do for a stretch, it doesn't any more.  The two postings I moved to this blog will remain.  Both Blogs are so "well worth reading" I believe both of them need more exposure.  Especially if they have gotten burried and "off screen" before.

The big problem with people I don't like is that they are Cowards and Hypocrites, and also Liars.  It's funny how many people like Newt Gingrich or Rush Limbaugh are caught in a Lie and then "Double Down" on that Lie, expanding it and making it even more fantastic.  Paranoid personalities are noted for spinning every more detailed and elaborate webs of psychological defences they construct as a wall or bullwark against assaults on their warped egos.  Mitt Romney can't leave this whole "I Am Rich" thing alone.  One of the biggest factors inhis loss sto Santorum in the South was this whole rich verses poor people.  Just about everybody with an income under 50,000 voted for Santorum.  We hear increasingly frequent talk that Obama Care will raise more taxes on the rich as part of the "Ever Increasing Taxes" mantra of the far right.  You know it may be we Should cut taxes for corporations.  But I would make it clear that I was doing so not because I thought Corporations were being leeched dry by the government, but merely because economic market forces dictate it in today's world.  I don't like certain liberal terms either that are attributed to President Obama.  I shy away from terms such as "ethnic diversity" and "cultural pluralism".  I have negative associations tword these words.  Certain states of being may be ideal, but I don't believe the government should be too "proactive" in trying to artificially bring them about.  That's my oppinion. There is some queer stuff in the news today.  We believe Pat Robertson may be on drugs because he appears a little spaced.  In a recent interview he said he isn't opposed to a wife giving her husband a slow job or visa versa.  He just said "If you don't think it's sin, then it isn't sin".  He said something like "Are you married?  Has your wife had a baby?"  OK.  Pat Robertson is on record of leagelizing drugs saying that the Government is losing the war on drugs and should be abandomed.  All right.  When are the rest going to come around?  Even an un churched person shies away from the word "Dyspensationalist".  Even they when they hear the word "Dyspensation" think of either some Royal or Papel edict.  It's either a Pope speaking "Ex Cathedra" in his capacity of infallibility making some new proclamation.  Or it's a term used in the granting Church Indulgences for sin in the Middle Ages.  Or else it's some Royal proclamation granting a citizen rights most people don't have.  It may be the ability to travel without a passport or be priveleged from arrest, or access to places Comonors are not normally granted position to enter.  However it's also used to justify "Why when God says something it's not necessarily binding".  Some say that laws on Divorce aren't valid because they were given as part of a "Temporary Dyspensation" by God.  Others use this word Dyspensation to justify things like brother and sister sex because "the genetics were different in those times" or else it was Necessary to have as much sex as possible to have children and populate the world, and these interests of Procreation trumped any moral considerations.  It's also associated to nulify specific promises of God in the New Testament such as the gifts of the Spirit such as prophecy, discernment, tongues, and bodily healing.  I think Neil of KFI must be a dyspensationalist.  Very little of what Jesus Christ taught in the Gospells is believed by Neil. There is debate over the origen of the word "Cracker".  I always thought the word traced back to these off white soda cracker saltine things.  But perhaps the most common use is to refer to a person who is "a little nuts" and mentally not all there as a Cracker.  As such Rush Limbaugh certainly qualified as a "Cracker".  I've only ever been called a cracker once as I recall, and that was by a really Black person.  But I'm not sure whether he was alluding to my race or that I was acting stupidly.  Some now are saying it's short for "Whip cracker".  While one caller says it 's when poor Whites were starving during some famine and they'd be so poor they would crack open the bones of Black corpses to suck out the bone marrow.  Yukk!  In terms of the word "Honky" - - somebody said it was about Whites who decide to "slum it' in Black neighborhoods.  I've heard it was a term used against Eastern Europeans (Hungarians) that were too "ethnic" and talked funny, particularly if they spoke Yiddish. Rush Limbaugh says he's love to have an oil derek in his back yard.  I believe that.  We're doing the El Rushbo hour.  I would not like an oil derek if I didn't get paid for it, and that's what we are usually talking about.  Rush isn't so stupid he doesn't think people get PAID for having people near by.  President Obama reminds us we only have two or three percent of the nation's oil reserve when we use in excess of twenty percent of the world's OIL.  Now El Rushbo is saying that the two percent figure is wrong because after all it's a "government statistic" because it's from the "Allinsky - Marxist left".  You heard it from one of the nation's Scientific Minds, El Rushbo.  As an ongoing Demonstration of Doubling Down on Lies,  Rush Limbaugh says "We have no need for ANY other form of energy than petroleum because if we didn't import another drop of oil from other countries, we have two hundred years of supply right here in America, and we aren't using it.  He then went on to refer to advisors of President Obama as "Castrati".  Be very careful how you use that word.  Contrary to what Marge Simpson says, "Castrati" are not spicy orderves served at buffets in India.   Below is a lot of nonesense that I get from others in my E mail.  They think they have something when they don't have squat.  As the song says "It's just their Imagination - - Running away with them". Coil of Rage ~ When you've read to the end, come back and read this first paragraph again. A Coil of Rage The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the years pass... need I say more about this person below other than there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future... I rest my case. I bought and read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to read considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Urban Sprawl To the Southeast

Haven't you heard?  Everybody is moving to the Southeastern United States?  Florida is the new hot spot.  Forget global warming.  People like Rush Limbaugh like it.  They come here for the climate.  He wishes we'd have more of it.  Why haven't you heard Mitt Romney is going to pick Marco Rubio for his Vice President to get a Latino on the ticket to shore up the flagging Latino vote because Romney has made so many tactless statements.   And besides those Latinos are all alike and won't know the difference.  And haven't you heard that people in California don't just want to move to the verdent green hills of south Orange County.  Now the urban sprawl has reached down there, too.  Now they want to move to a more "hospitable place" with lower taxes and a more suitable political climate, like Oklahoma or Wyoming.  Haven't you heard.  They hate Governor Moonbeam Jerry Brown in office and so there is a massive exidus from the State of all the "money earners and the job providers" and they are going to leave California to all the fruits and nuts and flakes in the granola concoction we refer to as the essence of California. And they are going to say "The wet backs and the Hollywood gay community can make something of the hell hole that is California is they can".  Meanwhile they are going somewhere where you can still fire guns and tack up a Confederate flag on your garage without getting strange looks from the Neighbors.  Of course the laws around here are getting a little much.  President Obama dictates what foods are allowed in school lunches, a man doesn't have the right to smoke in a public park, and now they are removing the fire pits from the beaches.  And of course they need to teach elementry school children how wonderful it is to embrace the gay life style and get mandentory vaccinations for twelve year old girls.  Well OK.  We aren't perfect.  We don't need those tea baggers anyhow.  Out west we drink coffee.  I guess they regard Southern Comfort as better for you as a drink with meals.  Well, if you are reading this posting you know this didn't use to be here - in this location or anywhere.

Moral Compromise Isn't the Only Thing that Is Compromised

Now is that.  El Rushbo looked up his eyes and saw the well watered Coachella Valley to the southeast and said 'I'll take that".  So Newt Gingrich dwelt in the rocky hill country with a view.  Now it came to pass that Stu Bady vivited Newt Gingrich to inform him that his third wife Colista was with child so he better get used to the idea even at his age and hopes it doesn't mess up his plans.  Newt said "I could have had a younger woman but I chose this 45 woman who isn't even menopausal yet.  Alas, woe is me.  And then Stu Baby informed Newtie that he intended to destroy Sodom and Gamora where his buddy El Rusho lived. Newtie dickered with Stu Baby over terms to save the City and "Jewed him down to just ten rightious people", which he couldn't find anyhow.  Meanwhile El Rushbo was living with his fourth wife and his two daughters from his third wife Marta.  And those of gay perswasion in the town wanted to crash his dinner party and have anal sex with Stu Baby and the two angels with him.  And El Rushbo said "Here are my two unmarried daughters.  Do with them as you will but leave these Men alone".  So the moraders went away frustrated and kept crashing into walls for they were blind from all the Viagara they had been taking.  And Stu Baby and the Angels ushered Rush and his fourth wife out of the City and then nuked the whole valley and turned all of the people into salt pillars.  And El Rushbo was told not to look back once they left.  But first his fourth wife looks back and gets zapped into a salt pillar.  You would think El Rushbo would learn but he didn't.  Later on El Rushbo had sex with both of his daughters and hit the bottle hard before each encounter so he would have the nerve to actually go through with it.  But being a man it was his Divine Calling to spread his Seed.  After this he got drunk once more and began wandering about the local hill country singing "Born Free" and making Bomb explosion noises.  When he came over the final pass into the Valley he looked and beheld and instantly was turned into a pillar of Salt, which is there to this day.  And they call it the Pillar of El Rushbo.  End of Story. Romulan Ghost Chatter

I guess this photograph falls under the general category of "Genetic connections you'd rather not talk about".  OK let's do the elections yesterday to start.  Rick Santorum won Alabama and Mississippi and made his "victory speech" for Alabama on KNX 1070 before he'd actually won at 7:30 our time when CBS had projected a Santorum win in a very right race in Alabama.  Mississippi was "too close to call" and we didn't even get numbers there but Santorum won that state too.  Mitt Romney took Hawaii and American Samoa.  Too bad he's not a WW II admeral or that might mean something.  We pointed out the whole Fosters Freeze connection with Santorum and the "Cortessians".  The Cortessians originate from the same root planet that the Reigel VI people originated from before they migrated to Reigel VI in the late forties.  The Reigel half of the Cortessian race is from the same racial stock.  By the way most of the Cosmos refers to the Constelation at large as the "Reigelian Constelation" rather than the "Orion Constelation".  "Orion" is just a perversion of the deity "Osirus".  And since four-odd thousand years ago Bela Tagis still a bit of an inferiority complex and even though they were Dardanians as a race- - they picked "Orion" to associate themselves with the Reigelian "Constelation" at large.  This star is different from the Bajoran hope planet but both stars are in the Reigelian Federation", just so you know.

Bob Seeger is apparently from Detroit, but he's in the "Asberry Park" group along with Springsteen.  They have representation on the East Coast and in Portland and also in Michigan, apparently.  Their home planet is in the Arkturian Star System.  Here is another where they refer to the whole star system as Arkturus rather than just the one red star.  The Asberry Park group hope planet actually revolves a whole other sun other than what we know as the star Arkturus.  Maybe you already knew that.

I won't give you all of them but three of them are lyrics as Jimi Hendrix sang them, rather than the Dylan original.  Dylan was not a Romulan but there were Romulans around him growing up in Minisota.  They were the Syracruse Romulans - - - which are basically the same group the Vancouver Romulans sprang from, and are known as Pure Romulans or some might say True Romulans to distinguish themselves from the Sirius A Romulans.  Whether the DNA of Torranto and Hamburg Romulans on Sirius A is actually different is a matter for conjecture.  Some say they have "Africanized" DNA, which is probably a bad translation.  It's Sirius theory that "Africanized bees" aren't genetically different but certain resident Genes have merely been turned On or Off.  We'll hit this again later.  Oddly- - the Syracruse Romulans refer to the Romulans from Buffalo as East Romulans, and technically aren't Romulans at all or even from the same Constelation.  Stewart just told me that the East Romulans are from "Pegasus", which again needs explanation.  What astronomers on earth call "Perseus" they call Pegasus - - but there is White Horse symbology as somehow evil.  As you know they were spawned from fraternal twins in Rome in 743 BC or whatever.  The "wolf children".  The whole Semaphore thing is clarified.  When the Sirian A people got it from the British in the 1700's they got the signals right.  It's the Romulans who do it backwards- - and since I learned it from the Romulans I have it backwards in my mind too - - the old "mirror falocy".   The Syracruse Romulans used to live in Austrailia, and some argue got east and west mixed up.  Others draw the inference as East as the Romulan word for "Facing' or "opposing".  Their naval and radar scans go the opposite directions.  True Romulans start west and scan counter clockwise.  The East Romulans scan clock wise.  To the Romulans scan "eastward" as it were, whereas we in America scan "westward".  Youall Clear?

I would now like to turn to the Sirius race.  As you know the Sirius "0" has the Rockers - - that brought Rock and Roll to Earth around 1952.  But then there are the "natives" who aren't into earth music at all.  A high percentage of them are industrial workers working in the mines.  Then we have the "Tony Sheridan" or "Brian Epstein" Sirius "0" people.  Here is another case of this "Africanized DNA".  These Sirus "O" faction spent time on another planet that "is not far away" according to Syd Barret.  Interestingly people who sensed a North Romulan or "Tularian" connection - - with Tony Sheridan are right.  Of course North Romulans are half Vancouver Romulan and half Portland Reigelian.  (just call them "Northerners" as in Reigel VI)  So you kind of have three different factions of Sirius "O" people.  By the way - - Stewart Sutcliffe seemed almost defensive when I said that Syd Barret may have known Keith Relf and the Yardbirds personally.  Stewart says, "Did he actually know Keith?  I actually knew Ketih and have played with him"  (on Sirius A)  Stewart says he hasn't talked to John Lennon in some time.  He seemed to known nothing of the things Syd had said to me last week.  "I actually don't know Syd at all well", he admitted.  (Stu admitted)  Of course Stu and Keith Relf were such good buddies they decided for a lark to reincarnate together as babies.  However there is another story as to how this happened.  Because Stu was incarnated as an older baby named "Christian".  They claim he was "sent there" because he lost a bet with somebody over whether the Oakland A's would defeat the LA Dodgers in the 1988 World Series.  A confusing note is added in that Amanda is known as "Pink" in the Federation, no doubt because Kathy often dressed her in pink.  She wasn't born till September of 1990.  Amanda was known as a happy smiley baby.  She isn't talked about all that much.

OK now that we've done our travel log for the day let's get into free mental association.  You know how they do these word tests like "Sycamore- - - Rhodedendrum - - - - - - Transsubstantiation".  "Correct".  The question is - is there a LINK between the following terms that connects them..   Hughes Tool Company,  the "Del Rio group", Joe Tex, Wolfman Jack, Bowing Aircraft, George Lucas, and the planet "REAL" (pronounced "Ray-oll".   A federation planet.  The answer to this is that the comonality is "The Houston Group" but I'm not going to break down all the math and lay it out.  Besides I did that in some earlier posting already, if anybody can locate it.

AND IN CONCLUSION let me just say that Wall Mart is on the agenda for this afternoon.  But also I'd like to say that to pass my IQ test you'd have to find ain IQ test that goes at least up to 409.  (And then Capital Records will sign you to a lucritive record deal)  Of course two things can cause the all to common Kurtosis deficiency, or low readings. Kurtosis is routinely so "low" that when you see a normal reading on a chart it doesn't look quite right to you, or at least to me.  Not testing for a high enough IQ will cause a decreased kurtosis and not taking a broad and detailed enough sample will cause a low Kurtosis reading.  Things that would cause the rarer too High a kurtosis reading would be a test that's skewed to "point you to certain answers".  Too high a Kurtosis in a survay may be some response to too many Buzz Words.  Well don't you feel good that we got through all this.  Have a happy morning, and now I'm going out for a smoke.

Obama Versus Romney

In head-to-head match-ups, Romney and the president are tied at 47 percent among likely voters surveyed. Obama bests former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum by 50 percent to 44 percent, surpasses former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich by 52 percent to 41 percent and Texas Congressman Ron Paul by 48 percent to 43 percent. The survey reveals a potential challenge facing Obama, who won the women’s vote by 56 percent to 43 percent in his 2008 race against Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona, according to national exit polls of voters. Obama leads Romney among women, though by 49 percent to 45 percent. Romney leads among men, by 48 percent to 46 percent. Romney wins seniors age 65 and over by 19 points. The two split those between the ages of 35-54, and Obama overwhelmingly wins Americans under the age of 35. Obama also is holding onto college graduates, a group who favored him in 2008, beating Romney by 50 percent to 45 percent in the survey. Romney outruns Obama among those with only some college, high school or less education. As Obama develops a campaign message that centers around economic fairness and draws a policy line between 99 percent of Americans and the top 1 percent in wealth, Romney wins among voters with annual incomes of $100,000 and more by 53 percent to 43 percent. He also leads by four points among voters who earn between $50,000 and $99,000 a year, while Obama wins by 13 points voters earning $50,000 and less.

The Dow Jones Industrials and the S & P 500 are now at their highest point that they’ve been since December of 2007, the month the Bush recession began (though there were signs of trouble well before then)  The DJI is now well into the 13,000’s and the index was up 217 points today.  227,000 jobs were added last month.  Consumer confidence is now at its highest point in four years.  This is all good news.  There is a whole other take on this economy however. According to Rush Limbaugh the whole energy shift thing isn’t working out for this President.  Rush says that 9% of all new jobs have been created in the oil and natural gas sectors.  Of course we know profits in these energy sectors is through the roof now with the higher prices.  But Rush asks the question or makes the observation that none of the other energy alternatives will put one 747 or 767 jet in the air for even ten minutes.  None of the alternative energy sources is able to substitute for petroleum for powering either passenger ships or cargo carriers that ply the international waters.  President Obama’s ratings are sharply down according to a New York Times poll released just today.  Now just 41% of the people approve of the President’s performance in office and 47% disapprove.  Rush says that the President rightly says he has no control over energy prices.  But Rush adds that if the President could take action that would lower the price of a gallon of gasoline to a buck fifty he wouldn’t do it, and if the Administration had its way the price at the pump would be six dollars a gallon because ‘With higher gas prices – more people go on food stamps”, which Rush says is the goal of the Obama Administration.  Rush repeated that there is no such thing as a “jobless recovery” and part and parcel with the concept of a recovery are the creation of jobs.  According to Rush Limbaugh there IS no economic recovery per se.  Even though the economy bottomed out in July of 2009 Rush doesn’t believe we’ve had any growth since then.  Now he’s saying that the experts are predicting a lower GNP for the present quarter, which hasn’t ended yet.  Later Rush contradicts himself by saying that jobs produced in THIS recovery do not reflect economic growth, but offered no statistic to back that up, even though  there are tons of other statistics to contradict it.  Rush turned to women’s issues.  Rush sayd that the President is down 4% with women in terms of popularity but then said women are ignoring the contraception controversy and their concern, like with men, is the economy and gas prices.  But Randy Rhodes said that even if gasoline prices were to rive to five dollars a gallon people would not depart from their new accelerated spending habits.  This is no doubt bad news to the tea party, who are counting on a stalled recovery.  Plain and simply, Rush is trying to wish away this recovery.  As to the charge that fewer people are working now than four years ago it must be noted that businesses are in a constant process of streamlining and cutting costs any way they can and this is proceeding regardless.  Production output, of course, is increasing.

Rush says that among all employers they approve of the whole they are against Obama Care 51% to 40% whereas Religious employers are against Obama care 57% to 36%.  Also – and this is a key statistic, the President apparently lied when he said you could “keep your present plan if you like it” because less than 30% of employers say you will be able to “grandfather in” your old medical health care plan, and the rest are dictated by terms laid down by Obama Care.  Rush says that health care costs for employers is up because of the requirements set forth for even being allowed to issue Insurance now.  Having your kids on the roles is NOT free and the cost of that in addition to covering all those infants with “incurable diseases” has to now be factored in to the overall employer costs of doing business, which will cut into his profits.  By the way just to correct Randy Rhodes n something - -  increased volume of business in Insurance or whatever is NOT the “supply demand curve”.  As we have said - - this curve dictates that as the price for anything goes UP, then so does the supply and as the price comes down, so does the supply.  This whole “maximizing profits through increased volume” is not a supply demand law but rather it’s kind of like buying “predictability insurance”.  You are willing to pay a premium for being able to count on a steady “bottom line” and not have it be a continued source of worry.  Were one strictly out to maximize profits he would gauge everybody for whatever he could get for a product at any time.  But unlike the “socialist” VA, the health insurance purchased by these employers will cost more because the companies themselves are denied the free mark Adam Smith right to get the price DOWN as low as they can drive it through forced competition.  So basically the President is upsetting both the majority of employers and the Catholic Church with his Obama Care.  And personally I think the whole plan is a total mistake both from a pure economics point of view and also from the view of “socialized insurance requirements”.

Finally I made it to Dr. Levy’s class.  They were doing check ins.  Bruce was something really strange.  (not unusual for him)  People seemed to be called on out of order but finally Dr. Levy got to me.  I told him about the starvation portions they have us on now and even Arlene, not known as a big eater, agreed that the portion was really small and that there were no seconds, and many others concurred.  Then Dr. Levy had a couple of “questions to think about” for us.  The first was “My most profound insight of life occurred when - - - “ this sounds like the key line in a Shirlock Holms mystery or something.  Bill Wardell (who showed up in class after a months long absence) said that “it’s the truth that probabilities of events are irrelivent and that nothing occurs by chance”.  Then Bill got a phone ball but he had left an opening for me so I took the lateral and ran with the ball.  I amplified on Bill’s remarks saying that probabilities can be used as a mathematical tool and is useful but in the whole police sense of cause and effect and “nexis” and all of that, probabilities were of no factor.  Everything is predestined.  Arlene began talking about angels and ghosts and UFO apperitions.  There was talk of “other dimensions”, which I reasserted could not be proven.  Physicists have theories about sub matter particles but there is no demonstrable way to locate any other dimension than the ones we know about.  If what they say on Star Trek is true, this may be utterly impossible due to our specific molecular construction.  Someone brought up pergitory to Dr. Levy’s next question about “What lingering mystery have you always wondered about?”  Life after death was a chief topic.  However Dr. Levy had the idea that Pergitory was a place you went to on your way to Hell and I told him that Pergitory was only for people who were Saved but had unconfessed sin, in the spirit of not obeying first John 1:9.  In addition to your unconfessed sin you are also guilty of the additional Sin of lying to God”.  Dr. Levy looked up pertitory on his I Pad and also looked up Sheol and Gehena and Hell on his I Pad, and told what various Jews believe.  I brought how the vast majority of the Bible teaches the doctrine of Soul sleep, but Dr. Levy didn’t agree with that one.  I then brought up the idea of this Jeffersonian “fire wall” between the physical world and the moral world, and strangely Dr. Levy agreed with me on this one.  The closest Christian theologian to my position on this was Marcion.  Paul taught Marcion doctrine and stressed in his writings that Events in the here and now had nothing to do with whether you were Saved or not.  Paul also said to ‘Give Thanks in all things” but I would modify that to say “We can give thanks as a vehicle of mental health.  That it is psychologically healthy for us to take stock of our blessings.  But I would add that we don’t OWE “God” anything since God is not a moral being.  St. Paul would agree with me that there is nothing we can DO to impress God of our worthiness but that Salvation is a “Free Gift”.  It’s something that is given, not earned.  This refuted what Arleen and some others were saying.   What I did NOT get into was the idea that Calvinism taken as a doctrine of “physical determinism” is valid, but Moral things are separated by this Jeffersonian “fire wall” as I said.  I said “I won’t even compare apples and oranges here.  You’ve heard quite enough by now of that expression”.   Karen’s music class wanted the room at one so Dr. Levy agreed to end the class even though we’d gotten off to a late start and reassured me about the records.  I gave him my friend’s number and Dr. Levy said he could call him but he didn’t have time to take the records today.  Then I tuned in the soap opera.  You know I’d like an attorney like E J Di Mira.  He’s smooth as silk with the guile of a serpent.  He possesses that - -  lack of “being able to be intimidated by moral weakness” that is admirable, which makes one able to Lie in court when necessary with the earnest of a door to door salesman –or Newt Gingrich.  I’d like a guy like that.  Lucas was grilling Will about his relation to E J.  Working for someone in shall we say “extra legal terms” is not unheard of and it has its “tax free advantages” if you know what I mean.  One is not “incumbered” by the standard legal impediments to various activities.  However the bottom line is “Can you trust them”.  How long have you known them and what is their track record as a friend and human being.  Is he the sort who if you got into any legal trouble would go your bail money and hire the best attorneys for you.  Would he give you good advice like don’t admit anything to the Cops.  OR is he the type who would throw you to the wolves as the slightest suspicion and when questioned himself say “I confess everything HE”S responsible for everything’ like Oliver North did with Ronald Reagan.  You could tell that E J was enjoying himself verbally torturing Abe Carver, and Abe didn’t have “enough sense to come out of the rain” interactional speaking.  E J is a verbal chess master when it comes to back and forth jousting.  You challenge him in this area at your peril.

People's Memories are Way Too Short

James and this relatively new guy were talking out on the patio tonight.  And the new guy says "Forget about releasing criminals out of prison being in danger of being repeat offenders; the United States is the biggest repeat offender of all, regarding violations of human rights.  We seem to forget that people of other nations don't like attrocities comitted against them.  They didn't like it in Viet Nam when we burned whole villages sheerly out of spite, and they want to forget it's true in Afghanistan.  Of course on Saturday in the dead of night I guess, going on Sunday morning this 38 year old Master Sergeant slips out of his base and walks several miles wearing night vision goggles carrying two weapons.  And he goes to neighboring villages knocking on doors and killing whole families.  They say he killed sixteen people in all and nine of them were children.  How could children be members of the Talliban.  They are going to release his name sometime.  This individual was deployed in Iraq in the last decade and in 2008 managed to pass two psychological evaluations despite already showing symptums of mental instability and he was also "hit in the head".  Now of course the town's people have turned against the United States and want to join the Talliban.  The President today said that the United States would neither increase or decrease our pace of withdrawal of troops from that country and reassures the Republicans that "We aren't going to go running for the Exits".  These "incidents' appear to be more frequent now.  We had the incident of our troops urinating on Talliban bodies and photographing it.  And then there was the recent incident of the Koran burning.  The Republican response is that we should not apologise for any of it.  Instead their whole line is for the United States to double down on war agression.  Of course as Randy Rhodes pointed out today troops going on their fourth and fifth deployment and brainwashed to kill as they are are having all the humanity bled out of them.  And like a boxer who tells the referee he can go another round, doesn't know when to quit.  Republicans have amazingly short memories.  For just a year ago the majority of Tea Party members in congress were saying that we should get out of foreign wars to cut expenditures.  It was even postulated that the Republican candidate of 2012 may be "the peace candidate".  But somehow a minority of views such as John Mc Cain's was allowed to prevail and now you hear nothing but debates on which War will we escalate first.  Will it be in Iran or Syria, or in Afghanistan?  It's as though for these Republicans the past ten years never happened, or that there doesn't come a point when the Citizenry of a country just gets war weary and has had enough.  This whole idea of disproportionate vengeance is not new to this country.  With the Indian tribes in the 1900's there were routinely cries for the mass slaughter of Indian tribes based on the most trival of offences.  The idea is engrained in our consciousness that the US has the "entitlement' that we can get away with literally anything because after all "We are the United States"

We are continuing to hear about what a warm winter it is.  Today's weather report indicates that it's in the seventies in New York's central park, and lovely weather- for a day in May.  The cherry blossums are out already in Washington.  Orkin has announced that insecticide sales are way up, along with hardware stores selling outdoor furniture.  People's heating bills are 17% lower this winter.  It's all explained because of some "polar ocelation" or something up north.  But that doesn't stop people from saying - - 89% of the population of the United States says that gasoline prices are the number one issue and 55% believe President Obama is to blame.  President Obama's economic support has now dropped a lot and is down to 38%  No matter what the President says on the subject in the way of educating the public, it doesn't register on the American People.  Some people are talking about tapping into US oil reserves and one caller this morning said that "There are refineries right nearby so getting that oil into the supply pipeline should be an easy thing".  They forget that we had skyrocketing gasoline prices under both Nixon and Bush and nobody blamed the Republicans then.  Somehow when a Republican was in power those on the right decided that they would place the blame where it lay, on foreign powers and the like.  But not with President Obama.

We are hearing more stories about how eating red meat will kill you.  Now they say that just one additional serving of meat will significally shorten your life, increase the danger of heart attack, and even give you Cancer.  President Clinton has now given up meat and become a Veegan.  Roommate Bill just told me that he has given up smoking.  That's one less person to borrow from.  George Carlin was saying nearly forty years ago that "two things that will kill you are alcohol and red meat".  Isn't it funny that human civilization for these past five thousand years don't seem to have suffered all that much from either, untill now.

It doesn't matter at all really whether Romney, Gingrich, or Santorum wins Mississippi and Alabama.  What the candidicy of Sarah Palin proved in the 2008 election was that being stupid was no bar to possibly becomming President.  Things like experiance and statesmanship and altruism don't count any more.  We are looking for a glamor icon and it doesn't even bother us if that's ALL a Presidential Candidate cares to be.  Sarah quit her job as governor.  But she hasn't devoted that time to any worthwhile charitable causes such as for instance helping out the causes of charities- - even ones involving helping children with disabilities.  Sarah from first to last only was looking out for number one.  Everything has to be about her.  If she can't successfully string enough sentenses to get a passing grade on a first semester College English class, this is of no concern to people.  I honestly don't know how it happened that we turned into an entire nation of uneducated Southern hicks, but we did.  Of course now Thom Hartman is apparently off the air on our local station, and this is the loss at least in LA of one needed voice of intelligence.  But I meant it when I said these people are not only MIS-informed, but they are DIS-informed by people like Rush Limbaugh and their local church pastor, who may or not know better but do it anyhow.  They are primed and condition to NOT accept any new information or view on any subject because to admit there is something they don't already know, and know completely making no further information necessary.  So this just makes the work for the rest of us, who aren't pod people, all that much harder.  Whether we'll succeed is still in question.

If people DO venture into things they know little about they exercise amazingly little discipline.  This guy talking with James was informing me about such concepts as "Time Folding" and "Time Filing".  He says, once you are up to speed on these issues the concept is simple.  I tried to bring him to the realization that Time travel is impossible because we can't change what's already happened for the simple reason of "It's already Happened" (Selah)  Then he brought in the idea of happening in other dimensions.  Well, we don't live in those dimensions and there is no scientific proof they even exist- - much like the "theory" of Creationism is just a theory.  We don't know.  It's a guess.  An Idea.  A postulate.  It's not logical to assume as Fact the existance of something for which there absolutely no evidence.  As to his bit about "Once you understand time folding it's am amazingly simple concept" I have this to say.  How many dimensions is our time?  I's one, isn't it.  If you draw a line on a sheet of paper it has ONE dimension.  the minute you curve that line it has two dimensions and not one.  So we agree that ONE dimensional time cannot bend.  I don't even believe Einstein says it can.  Of course Christians love to speak of "alternate realities" and they are specially endowed with their Powers of the Spirit to perceive them.  They will tell you "nothing is at it seems" and also "After you die, you will see the Truth of your life for what it really was, either for good or bad".  I have a definite problem with the words "After you die".  That's like saying "I'll pay you the Second Tuesday of Next Week".  Again you are basing your oppinion input on something that is a non fact, and trying to pawn of a conclusion from said non facts as somehow "factual".  Even they should be able to see that this is illogical thinking.  Liberals love logic and conservatives have an abiding antagonism to logic.  And therein lies the Problem.
