What gets me up this early on a Sunday morning to post is this show on KFI just now that is what I'd refer to as "Gateway Activity" of this KFI program. People think of "Gateway Drugs" as like marijuana leading to cocaine and heroin and stuff like that. Often though a "Gateway Activity" is something that actually appears at first blush the exact Opposite of what it really is. Let's say you have two people. One says "I'm a good person and strive every day to live a good life and be kind to my fellow man" and you have another who says "I don't need God or religion in my life or anybody to tell me what to do. I am the master of my own Destiny". Most people would say the first guy is the one who is the closest to "Turning Christian" or "Evolving' if you will. I hate that word "Evolving" because Obama is misusing the term. We know that Obama always favored gay marriage. He came out with a statement favoring gay marriage in 1996, and must have been the only one in the country to do so. Because when Howard Dean, that "loose cannon" that "reckless hot head" dared to propose even gay "civil unions" in his 2004 campaign most people considered it a radical position, right up with there with pulling all of our troops out of Iraq, which I was not for at that time. (I was wrong) So this "Evolving" business is a bunch of crap. The more proper word is "reversion" or "returning too his roots" or that transvestite teacher he had at the Medrossa in Indonesia or something. But excuse the side rabbit trail. I'm doing this whole posting without notes. Back to "gateway activities". I hadn't intendet to mention it, but often a "gateway activity" of homosexuality is a super machoness or dressing up in leather all the time, or an utter obsession with the subject of homosexuality all the time and who is gay and who just looked at me funny - - and all of that. Or carrying on endlessly you don't like how someone is dressed and obsessing over it. You see these sort of activities and you know you have someone on the verge of turning Queer himself. So back to our Christian thing- - it's the guy who keeps saying 'I am the master of my own Destiny" and how he doesn't need God - - - He is the Perfect Candidate for a Christian conversion because he's about "There" already if you know what Christians are all about. These are the very sort of personalities who populate fundamentalist Churches. If you talk to them they will tell you they despize so called "Good People". In fact they are the ones who make most relivent the adage "Making the Good the enemy of the Perfect" because they aren't GOOD and they aren't Perfect either, by the way, but they think they are. One evangelist was known for saying 'I hate know it alls". I love a person who "Knows more than I do" because I can learn from him. I have more knowledge about the Alien World that KFI guy was talking about this morning - - I have more knowledge in my little finger than he has in his whole inflated Ego and I'll prove it to you one of these days. This evangelist who hates know it allls hates Women and Children to, with a passion. And he has actually come out and said 'I have Women because they are really Smarter than me, and it's my job to make sure they never know it". Later on and I might as well do it now, is suggest that everyone who was beguiled by this Tea Party "gateway" clap trap on KFI this morning before six- - - spend about Two Weeks listening to Randy Rhodes and Stephanie Miller, and they'll set you straight on a lot of things. Honestly. You say "Well they are two women and one of them is gay and the other has fanticies of turning gay- - and both have a flippant sense of humor. Why would you want to pay attention to them". I'll tell you. First of all "Flippancy" is not such a bad thing. You've just been reading too many C S Lewis books and gotten mentally "Screw-taped". C S Lewis is a world class liar and deceiver about a lot of stuff. The other thing is just because you're gay doesn't mean that you aren't a good human being. There's that word again - - - Good. You don't check your brains at the door when you turn Gay. You still have your intellectual capacities. I just have a problem with Gay Marriage - - - not Gay People, and there is a world of difference. I think if most people actually spent time with Gay people they'd see the whole Culture differently. I've come accross more gay people I didn't KNOW were gay in the past ten years than the rest of my life combined. And they aren't what you think. Gay people have been pretty good at correcting old stereotypes. How we have new stereotypes. One tea party member said "You know that gay's all are are intellectual and have good income coming in." They live well. And of course they are good at things like French cooking, interior decoration, and hair grooming - - - - stereotypes. One guy at Green Harbor who used to call the Bingo games- - you'd take him to be some macho cigar chomping pit boss at a Las Vegas casino if you didn't know - - and not the least bit gay. But he is. New Paragraph.
I want now to at last move on to the Meat of that KFI show. It's about Alien beings and demonic attacks. There was stuff in there about the Bible and the Gold Standard, and Jesus advocated making friends with powerful foreign governments to better yourself- - and Jesus was into Making Money and that's why the Obama liberals hate him so much. It was the same sort of clap trap I heard back in 1976 when The Omen first came out about demonic warfare and space aliens and "Close Encounters' and all of that. Again, if you want to know about Space Aliens, ask me in private sometime. I've got the straight skinny on that stuff. Talk to someone with actual substantive information why don't you. Do you remember when the Tea Party got started even people like Thom Hartman and Randy Rhodes were sucked into their deception if only a little. I never was because I'd been through all that and know how they work. They will talk about the Bible and the gold standard and staying out of debt. But the biggest lie they are known to tell is that "Taxing the rich robs them of an incentive to create jobs and work hard to stimulate the economy. People who say this know absolutely NOTHING about ANY economic statistics on the subject. Talk to Thom Hartman sometime, why don't you. You know back in March of 1992 one day I talked to Social Security wondering when I was going to be "Processed" and they'd be convinced I was really impoverished to qualify and statify all of their petty little rules. But one conversation I had was frustrating with them. I decided to call my Pastor, whom I refer to now as The Asshole from El Paso. He really was raised in some Texas City out on the western plains but I'm not certain it was actually El Paso. I heard Dylan use the term once on the Howard Stern show in 1992 and that's where I got it - - from a Bob Dylan song, apparently (that I've never heard him actually sing) Tea party people say a lot of stuff and most of it is lies. They will talk about when the Jamestown colony experimented with Communisum they almost starved to death. And they will say if you tax millionaires an extra four percent- - it will ruin the economy. "Nobody makes anything here any more" "High taxes are driving businesses out of California". And there are lies about me. They say "I've always had an Addictive personality". This when I suffered from alcoholism for a few years in the late 'nineties. They will say "I can't handle money or pay my bills" and yet I almost got kicked off of SSI because in June of 2001 I had saved up so much money that my bank account was actually over the limit. And that money helped me out in the next few years after I moved into a board and care facility, let me tell you. One tea bagger is fond of bashing poor people the way Rush does referring to them all Hippies and Communists. One time I felt so defensive about being on SSI I said "I'd like to get a job actually". She then responded "Of course I'd never hire you because you can't ballance a check book", which is a Lie, of course. But they wham-bam you with one thing and when you respond - - they hit you with the opposite thing so you can't win. And then she hits me up with this "Why would you criticize people who have money on Wall Street. Your mother has a lot of money from stocks and you're going to Inheret that money some day so it's not even in your own self interest". This statement contains several lies. First of all I have been Dis-Inhereted. She did now that, didn't she. Next I never criticized making money in the Stock Market and was an advid follower of KWHY channel 22 here in LA for years. And it's because I do know so much about how economic works and the machinations of the money markets- - what she SAYS comes off as utter uninformed asshole ignorance. You do know that cutting Capital Gains would be the WORST possible tax move we could make right now, don't you. It would Sink all of our Markets and make international trade all the worse. Many people are obsessed with Debt but it was a far more Dangerous situation under Ronald Reagan because of the 17% interest rates or whatever they were then. Governor Rick Perry wants to bring back double digit interest rates as a way to FIX our money problems. Nobody who actually LIVED through the era of 30 and 35 years ago would EVER say a thing like that because you knew what it was really LIKE. Part of a lot of people's problems is that they haven't lived long enough to learn certain Lessons of life. And by the way you do know that the current FED chairman was a President Bush appointee, don't you? So can the "Treason" talk. I've gone on long enough. I was going to talk a lot more about Space Aliens than I in fact did in this posting but it seemed most prudent to go in a whole other direction today.
