This morning's news development is that Hong Kong thought it over and decided not to honor any extradition treaties with the United States but decided to let Edward Snowdden go. If you will remember they said "This thing could be tied up in the Chinese courts for months". They changed their minds pretty fast. Now we are informed by various treets that Edward Snowden has just landed in Moscow. According to Wikki Leaks, Snowden will travel from there on to Cuba, and from there he will travel to Venesuela, where he intends to hide out. Some would argue, and I was briefly among them that if Snowden wants to do the honorable thing he would volentarily turn himself in to Authorities here. However one of my friends from "the other side" to to speak- - Bones said that Jim Morrison's view on this whole matter was "Hopelessly quaint and out of date thinking this guy could get a fair trial in the United States. Because just suppose Snowden is genuinely a victim of "Something" then - - they could just "drop him in a hole and make him disappear" from the public awareness never to be heard from again. Dick Derbin on Meet the Press this morning argued for "Bringing the issue into the public debate. President Obama should get on TV and explain to the people what he wants to do, and get the American people at large behind him, and Clear - - on just What measures they will Allow their government to undertake in order to "safeguard their security". This course sounds reasonable to me. However Wikki Leaks points out that "President Obama has been more vindictive tword Whistle Blowers than any previous President". If true, this is a real eye opener. The advocate for Snowden's cause is Glen Greenwald who made the case for Snowden's intentions being honorable, on this morning's Meet the Press. The United States had prepared Espianage charges all ready to go when Hong Kong gave the word. That didn't happen. Greenwald has stated that the NY Times and others have lamented that "investigative reporting is dead". It's at a standstill in this - - dare I say it? - - "culture of intimidation" we live in today. Greenwald makes the argument that Snowden is indeed a whistle blower because - - James Clapper lied to the public when he said "The United States is not compiling information dossies on the average American citizen". So that's where the situation stands right now.
Now they are coining a new crime for all of us to be guilty of called "Vaporing in public". This is not a statute against flattulance in public. That would be an interesting law to try and enforce. But this "Vaping' thing is- - from these "E cigarettes" as they are called that have been on the market and even advertised for nearly ten years now. These are the "smokeless cigarettes". You don't blow smoke but harmless vapor, wherein you can get your needed nicotine fix. Surely smoking a water vapor cigarette in public couldn't be a crime, could it? But it is. What has struck me is that forty years ago only the most rabid of fundamentalist pastors came down has hard on smoking as we do today. But if we set our sights tword other undesirable behaviors such as- - texting in cars- - or the consumption of alcaholic beverages- - or for that matter snuffing out homosexual behavior- - we could probably create a national environment where these activities too, would be vastly reduced. But we don't mind if you get drunk, but Lord help you if you have a vapor cigarette in your hand! There are times when I think as a nation we really have our priorities mixed up. Now they are going after "third hand smoke" saying how deadly THAT is. This is things like cigarette smoke embedded in carpets and drapes- - that somehow if you are exposed you'll end up in an iron lung or something. This is utter nonesense- - but you give these "tobacco police" a foot, and they'll take a mile.
Now there is this case of the Police shooting a resident's German Shepherd in El Monte. Of course we know that the Police have an almost unrestricted License to Kill. In the same way that the FISA court will almost never turn down a request for snooping- - so the vast majority of police shooting cases- - the ones that even get files- - will exhonorate the police. It almost never happens that a Cop will get nailed for a "bad shooting". Hearing these dogs barking on all these Cops shows, it's a wonder more cops don't haul off and shoot and kill a family pet, a deed they will most certainly get away with- - any time they want to. The odds of the average American getting shot and killed by a police officer- - are Six times the risk of a terrorist attack. This is according to numbers in George Washington's blog. As a profession being a Police Officer is very safe compared to so many riskier occupations. It's very rare for a policeman to be killed in the line of duty and when it does it's real news. They stop the presses and preempt regular TV programming to cover his funeral. If the figure for the average American is six times that of a terrorist attack, if you're black- - you can do the math and come to about fifty times the risk of being killed by law enforcement- - than a terrorist attack. And if you are a Young - - Black man you can hike that figure by three and come up with 150 times the odds of being wrongly killed by a police officer. Rush Limbaugh accuses people on our side of going with "Feelings". But a black man worried about being offed by a police officer- - has something very Real to fear. It isn't in his head. It's 150 times the chances of being killed in some terrorist attack. And yet every American is scared shitless of somehow the next "Boston Marathon" being - just around the corner.
Neil Savedra wants us "Not to take our eyes off God". In the first place - - I need to know where "God" is and how to find Him- - in order to even have my eyes on him in the First place! There is that Who song called "The Seeker". There is Dylan's "John Birch Society Blues". Lines in there are about a guy on a quest to find communists everywhere. "I looked for them Reds up my chimney hole and down my toilet bowl - - they got Away!" Of course personally I think there are too many Christians walking around with their head up their chimney hole, but that's another issue. Is it a case of "The first person who crosses my path who says "I am God" then I follow him, like a baby duck? Is that how it works? Is he that voice on the radio every Sunday morning on KFI. If Neil Savedra a homosexual? I've heard reports that he IS and reports that he isn't. Which is it? Because if Neil IS a homosexual then he is a False God. Of course Neil might label me as a False God perhaps because he'd accuse me of "Fomenting doubt". Well let's look at this. I will guaren-damn-tee you that Neil has actively Trashed the Faith of more people- - - in their pursuit of God, than I ever have. My business is not trashing anyone's personal faith. Again I have defended Freedom of Religious expression more frequently than a lot of liberals would like. Also- - it is more likely from Me rather than from Neil Sevedra you'll hear phrases like "Every American should Read his Bible more". I'll tell you this. The Bible is No Friend of the Tea Party. My motive in the last posting was to provide a wholly naturalistic explanation for the Creation of the Universe. Just as George Washington set precedent for everything he did as the nation's first Chief Executive- - every "foray" into a "new dimension that never existed before" is precedent setting. Dimensions left and right are litterally being created before your eyes. This is the Science behind my multi-dimensional claims. People will ask me "Well, just how long did this whole Creation Process you describe- - how long did it take to Happen? My response is "There is absolutely no way of knowing - since Time did not exist when it was taking place. Some may argue "Well was the entire expanse of Time created "all at once". Again you fall into that trap in thinking in terms of time existing WHEN time was being created. People often don't think logically because they are afraid to venture out of their usual Box. As an aside it's impossible to minimize the impact of the Higgs Boson on my thinking in all this because this is a materialist manifestation of attributes- - - that we had never been able to localize in a material way before. As such as Joe Byden says "This is a big F---ing Thing". By the way in terms of "personal responsability" we alluded to about Edward Snowden - - Jesus Christ was free to exercise "Civil disobediance". But the thing is when you do it and do something you know carries the Death penalty - - when it comes your time to pay for your crime, your infraction of the law- - you have no one to blame but yourself. You can't blame the Jewish people or culture, you can't blame "Unbelievers" and most of all you cannot and should not blame Generations yet Unborn- - and somehow saddle on them a Tresspass that you yourself comitted with your eyes wide open knowing full well ahead of time the Penalty.
