Those Tea-baggers Are At It Again

Rush Limbaugh was back on the air this morning and he was saying some fantastic stuff.  Actually everything he said was 180 degrees wrong, and was placing statements in the mouths of liberals that it’s conservatives who have been beating us over the head with.  Hang on to your socks.  You won’t believe this.  Rush said that it was Liberals who coined the term “trickle down economics” and he openly mocked the idea that a rich person would give a poor person a job just because he needed one.  You know who said that actually?  Larry Elder.  Larry Elder didn’t believe in such things as macro economics or the overall state of economic health or how much money and commerce was in circulation.  No.  Poor people got any jobs they got because a rich person GAVE them one!  This is a phrase that particularly sticks in my craw.  Then Rush said something else amazing.  He said “Well, the Democrats are always talking about how good the Clinton years were economically in comparison - - when they know well that they owe every economic success they got to President Reagan”.  Then Rush says “It defied logic that Clinton would raise taxes on the wealthy and the economy would take off”, and Rush went on to say that “If President Obama believes this he only proves he is economically Ignorant”.   What is so highly offensive about this last statement of course is the exhaltation of the uneducated and the ignorant.  Randy Rhodes once stated that unlike liberals, who spend hours researching the material on the radio they present that day, Rush Limbaugh just looks at the Drudge report- - and works off whatever Talking Points are for that day.  Then he went on to discuss the growing present discrepancy of wealth between the rich and the poor and he blaimed THAT on President Obama “because of all the many tax hikes on the rich over the past five years”.  He also betrayed an abysmal lack of history in our own lifetimes by saying ‘You know the liberals invented this concept that the nuclear family with the two parents and kids in a stable marriage only dates to the 1950’s”.    I was scratching my head.  In the neighborhood I grew up in the fifties there were at least kids of three families not many houses away in our neighborhood that were products of divorce and had different last names from their parents”.  Kurt Cobain wants to know “How of them used to be named Greenberg and change it?”  Very funny.  Rush then goes on to trash the whole “two parenting concept” and I don’t blame you if you don’t have the vaguest idea that that refers to.  It’s something to do with – I think – primarily gay parents contracting to have two parent figures, hence co parenting, in their adopted children’s lives.  Rush then goes on to say “You know these people all have the Agenda of destroying the traditional American family.  That’s been their plan all along”.  I get very suspect whenever anyone on the right uses the term “Agenda” because if ANYONE has it- - they do.  These people on the right can’t accept certain sociological trends over the years or that women held down jobs as far back as World War II.  When I was young I once asked my mother why she didn’t have a paying job like so many other mothers in the neighborhood” and my Mom just said, “economically that wouldn’t work out for us”.  Rush Limbaugh went on to trash the whole concept of employee “benefits”.  That’s just another term of those “greedy poor people looking for a handout”.  The funny thing is that Rush Limbaugh doesn’t have kids and is on his fourth marriage and so far as I’ve heard, they aren’t even living together.  Rush went on to plug his book by “Rush Revere and the Tea Party” which is a book about the Pilgrems.  I hope Rush knows that Paul Revere and William Bradford were not contemporaries.  Rush made a big thing of a caller who made a thing of being the eighth generation great granddaughter of William Bradford.  You know in my administration as President I’m going to do my own genealogical check on people to make sure there aren’t one of three people in their family tree - - one is Brigham Young, another is that Nathan Bedford Forrest whtever-guy founder of the KKK, and the third is William Bradford.   Some of Rush’s remarks were indecipherable even to me, a man studied in the ways of Limbaughism.  He quoted President Obama as saying “If we have to give up health care we’ll just have to go back to the old status quo” and Rush said “You can’t go BACK to a status quo because a status quo by its nature is what IS now”.   So let me clarify.  As you know- - the “status quo” of most of this brief 21st century is for Health Insurance rates to be hiked several times the rate of inflation year after year, and for people to be canceled or have their current policies dropped- - year after year, and the average rate hike AVERAGES over twenty percent, from what I understand.  So someone saying “I’ve having problems with my insurance company” is like saying “You know something- - it’s snowing in Buffalo in December.  I wonder if that event signals the end of global warming?”  Rush Limbaugh also stated that income inequity between the rich and the poor- - - if I didn’t say this already- - has gotten four times worse under the past five years of the Obama administration.  Of course you know who’s virtually been running the government, don’t you, for most of those five years.  It’s been the tea party congress and mainly in the House.  One faction of one body in one half of the three branches of government has been calling the tune for all of us.   Rush Limbaugh also trashed Obama for quoting Pope Francis, and wonders why this President should ever quote any Christian because he’s obviously not one” - - or something.  (?)  Rush then said “If Obama can quote the Pope to buttress his own views- - why can’t we on our side quote Reverend Jeremiah Wright to discredit President Obama?”  I’m not sure what he meant by that, because I’m sure Jeremiah Wright has given a lot of good sermons over the past decades, and I’m sure a lot of sermon excerpts could be employed to buttress the President’s own positions.  Hummm?

Sometimes you can learn interesting things from TV shows- - or even things that are NOT on TV any more.  I heard NBC wasn’t going to show ‘It’s a Wonderful Life” this year, and I’m wondering if that movie has become a political liability because of the economic policies it espouses or the implications for tea baggers and corporatists in that movie.  But last night in what I believe was a rerun of an NCIS episode- - there was this guy who proposed some new computer program for a company to make it more efficient or whatever.  And the big whigs turned him down- - and since he wasn’t getting paid what he believed he was worth to begin with - - he quit and went to work for somebody else.  But now he was being sued by his old Company for “Stealing Intellectual Property” because he signed a contract that anything he invented or a concept was the “Intellectual property of the company”.  This shows the Big Lie of the tea party that states that “A man should be paid for the work he does”.  And even Adam Smith preached against the inequities of the idle rich, a reality that infuriated Rush, that President Obama would quote from.  Judy is always telling me that “You wouldn’t want someone stealing your computer program ideas would you?”   Well, I have a long memory and remember the sorts of things Judy was saying to me around the period that my Prophecy Book came out.  And I do not care to re-litigate them here.  Of course Judy made a point about what a dud Obama Health Care was when she referred to this fantasy “coffee business” that I supposedly have.  “If you began putting hot pepper in everyone’s coffee your business would drop to near nothing and you’d have to cut of out quick or else lose all of your business.  But in the government there is none of this check and balance market response like in the private sector”.  A number of things immediately came to mind.  I thought of Mary Wells of Mo Town.  She was being passed over in favor of a new singer who was younger and prettier.  She had these songs she wanted to perform but the company would not put them out, and stopped promoting her.  I see two scenarios playing themselves out here.  One if that she could go ahead and record those songs for another record company - - and of course Mo Town would sue her because she was still under contract.  The other is that perhaps the niece or something of one of the Executives could be offered the song, though she wasn’t nearly as talented and she’d be told “Here’s the Mary Wells demo- - just imitate everything you can about her performance.  She’s brilliant, but of course I couldn’t tell her that”.  So you get these computer geniouses who I guess are seen by Corporatists as cash cows for the company there to be milked and discarded.  If I were that guy in NCIS I think I would sabotage the old company by planting a virus.  If he’s as smart as they said he was with a 148 IQ then it would be a simple matter of leaving a “back door password” open like in War Games.  Or he could say something like “You know- - you could fire me- - but I’m awfully conserned about the security of your computer system, because there might a case that inadvertently some highly dangerous virus is still in the program that could take down your system at the drop of a hat”.   Nick Fallon was a smart man.  Even if it turns out he really is no longer among the living now- - he has reaped an exquisite revenge against Kate from the grave.

Randy Rhodes is engaged in a heeded discussion with a conservative caller because the caller wants to know "Where all of the money is coming from" for amazing Coverage of all these new Conditions that the Insurance companies now have to pay for, as if it will just drop down out of the sky or something.  I'd like to know the answer to that one, myself.   After all, I don't believe in the tooth fairy either.  Just to be perfectly canded, I've never been a "Statist".  But according to Senator Cruise there is this "left wing Agenda" to "get us all addicted to the Sugar" and depandant on the State and not the free market.  I would somehow like to rehabilitate the word "Libertarian".   I'd like to run on the "Reform Libertarian" party platform, right after I invent it.  After all the slogan of the revolutionaries in the 1960's was "Power to the People", not power to the State.  Just remember that "Liberal" has as its root the words "Free" and "Freely", and therefore to condemn "Liberation theology" is an oxy-moronism, because Christianity is at its very core and by its very nature "Liberation theology".  After all Jesus quoted Isaiah 61 which was all about "Liberation" and opening those prison doors and setting the people free.  (Selah)   But the makers of that "2016" movie a year and a half ago are all hung up on 'anti-colonialism" as though- - - I don't know - -concepts like "working on the Plantation" and even Slavery - - are not things they shy away from.  Most of the protests in the streets were not as people like Judy and Rush Limbaugh portray them as greedy socialists petetioning with their hands out.  But I'll tell you a little secret.  Do you know what's WORSE than a person saying "gimme gimme" with his hand out?"  That's a person like Mitt Romney who comes along and just TAKES from the poor and the workers, and even takes down companies of many decades, "If he can".  That's where Mitt Romney's morality is.  He does something- - just like a dog, "Because he Can"  (Selah)

The other odd-ball story of yesterday was these three Black high school basketball players waiting at a bus stop and they were picked up by the police and arrested because the shop owner whose store the bench was in front of them was some George Zimmerman type who believed "those Black people are up to no good".  The coach of the HS team had scheduled a bus to come and pick them up for basketball practice at the high school gymnasium, but even when the team Coach showed up (who is also a guideance counselor) told the police at the station what was going on- - the Police would still not take the three team players out of handcuffs.  This is such a strange story I don't want to make of it.

The city of Detroit officially got “permission” from a Judge to declare Chapter Nine bankruptsey.  Of course it’s largely that Bozo governor Snyder’s fault, and his hard right republican legislature.  This basically ammounts to an overriding of the popular vote of the People of Detroit by some policy instituted On High from the Governor.  I've seen a lot of Republican governors do this.  They will shift financial burdens and obligations of the States on to the local government, and they call it economic efficiency.  They are so bogus and nobody is stopping them from doing it.  Basically it's a theft by the Big Banks, from the lowly government workers, who negotiated down their salaries for future benefits, which now is taken from them.  I'm sure it must get the rocks off of these "red" governors to take down a major liberal City.  This event has gotten major press both in the Federation and in the Romulan Empire.  So the city of Detroit has a lot of cosmic friends out there.  We are on page four.  I don’t know if I would be doing a blog post as of Monday evening even if I didn’t have this flu bug.  There just isn’t enough new material.  Yesterday I watched the Price is Right in the morning.  Oh - - that Rush guy fill-in said they were going to do some new massive investigation on Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin.  I sure hope they come up with something major to really derail his campaign for reelection next year.  I wish all of these tea party governors and their legislatures would all get the broom next year.
