Back to the 1920's

Well, you knew it was coming. The Republican congress has just passed another tax cut bill. This one eliminates the "minimum" tax for the richest of people. It als keeps capital gains tax rates at fifteen percent for investors. No doubt this is what is fueling the current bull market. Of course this tax cut isn't free; it's being "financed" by the higher interest rates all of us have to pay for every loan. The tax cuts are hiking the deficet and the deficet has to be financed somehow. It's what I call a "bad executive decision" to put all our eggs in the investments basked. On KTLK they said that the old addage about cutting tax rates to increase revenue isn't true. I'll take them at their word. In other words the government has themselves in a permanent state of not receiving the revenue they need for opperating budgets. While it would seem that "more money is in circulation" it's money that can be taken away at the drop of a hat if we have a democratic adminestration three years from now and the deficet is five or six hundred billion.

It’s back to the 1920’s now. The bull market has taken off. An expert on the Today show says we’re going to have a bull market all the way up to fifteen thousand. He used the term back to the 1920’s. Of course most investment people in the know say that when they begin talking about the markets in the broad media it’s getting close to time to get out. I suppose you could put it in Deal or No Deal terms. There’s four numbers left on the board and one of them is the million dollar figure. None of the other numbers are higher than ten thousand. You are offered two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for your case. Do you take the deal or hold out for more? Me- I take the deal and run. $250,000 is a lot of money. If you get in the market now you may make another twenty percent on your money. People like Larry Elder talked about “The Clinton bubble bursting”. I suppose now we’ll be hearing about “The Bush bubble”. Of course the Feds have raised interest rates eight times in the past few years and now they say mortgage rates are at 7.94% or just about eight percent? Do you buy a home at these rates? A lot of people will because like the 1920’s they think prosperity will last forever. This new Bull Market could be the one thing that bolsters Bush’s poll numbers for the fall elections. The liberals have been saying it’s going to be a tough race and if the Democrats win in 2008 it will be a squeaker. That’s what they’re saying. My advice is to buy gold.

NBC Dateline has been doing it again. That’s all they do now on that show is lure in middle aged men with the promise of sex with a fourteen year old girl. Only they are carrying it a little far now. Now if you pull up to the house this sexy voice from inside tells you to “come on in”. And if you decide to drive off anyhow the cops go after you and arrest you. I think NBC deserves to be commended for making a point. Don’t trust anybody you meet on an internet chat room. But let me ask you this: If you’re in a bar or a nightclub and a sexy girl is giving you the come-on and you pick her up and she turns out to be under age- - is saying “I didn’t know she was under age” a defense? No it isn’t. You still committed the crime; you’re going to jail. OK now here you are on the internet and this text appearing on a page says you’re talking to a fourteen year old. But are you in fact talking to a fourteen year old? No. If the law states “It’s not what you intend; it’s what you actually do that counts”, shouldn’t all these internet suckers bagged by Dateline be off the hook. Especially the ones who pace outside for a while and then take off. You know some may wonder what the Bible thinks of this. I’m glad you asked. There is a story in the Bible about Noah getting drunk and naked, and one brother blabbed about it to anyone who would listen. The other two brothers went in with a blanket and covered their father walking backwards- so as not to even look at him. (Selah) “Men are idiots”. We know this. The point has been made. But to a degree they are “suckered in” to the trap every step of the way by female actors –and other impersonatrers.

Some wonder whether it’s appropriate for teenage girls in particular to wear provocative T shirts with messages like “I am a virgin- (This is a very old shirt)” All I can say is in my day you’d never in the world be allowed to wear such shirts in school. Back in my day you could not wear a jacket or a shirt with any message or Brand name on it. So all these “fifties” shows showing teenagers with logos on their jackets- - are pretty much full of it. Of course Starr Parker has had five abortions and brags she used to lay out on the beach and collect welfare. Now she’s a born again conservative. The thing is if you have permissive parents, your odds of being a Born Again Christian go up because one thing Born Again Christians have in common is they’re used to getting their own way. Another thing they like to do is make others feel guilty for their own sins. (Selah) Playing the hypocrisy game is the thing they do best.

Back in High School I took a legal course that was basically for seniors, but they’d let juniors in if they could prove they were smart enough. One of the questions I asked was that if I, as a minor, had sex with girls of various ages- and I believe I went up the scale, 14, 15, 16, 17 would I be guilty of statitutory rape, and in each case I was told I would be. Of course when Fred Price was a teenager he admits with seeing how many girls he could “deflour”. This only shows me that a “Carismatic” preacher- - has “talents” not at all related to “gifts of the spirit”. Today parents use tools on their kids’ computer activities such as the “I Boss”, which logs all of their key strokes so the parent can tightly monitor them. Of course on a George Lopez episode one time Carmen, the daughter dressed in one of her mother’s “hooker dresses”. It’s OK for a married adult to wear something “sexually suggestive” but it’s not OK for a single teenager to do so.

Now the US Government- - notably the National Security Administration- to log and monitor all our phone calls. So, what else is new? They have been doing so since 9 – 11. I suppose you really shouldn’t complain about this. Gene Scott used to always say “I want to let the government know that I have the right to hide- - - nothing”. It’s an old argument of, “If you aren’t doing anything wrong, why should you mind the government monitoring your phone calls? Sometimes “monitoring” can have its down side. We hear now that employers are going into “My Space” and monitoring conversations of teenagers and making job assessments accordingly. I guess my worry is that you could end up being blacklisted by some credit or insurance company- and not know exactly why. A long time ago I heard someone say at a Republican Convention, “A government with the power to give you everything you need for life, has the power to take everything from you at the drop of a hat. I don’t think we all need to be such creatures of Big Brother.

I have been following a site now for almost 2 years and I have found it to be both reliable and profitable. They post daily and their stock trades have been beating
the indexes easily.

Take a look at Wallstreetwinnersonline.com
