Pope Benedict XVI has had increasing PR problems with all these child molestation cases he helped to cover up when he was known as Joseph Ratsinger. The countries range from Wisconsin in the US to Ireland, to various places in Europe, to Austrailia. People say that the resignation of the Pope is not even on the table as an issue. Many of these cases are over twenty years old, but the victims have not forgotten them. Of course people can't help but wonder whether women priests or married priests should be introduced into the system to provide a little stability.
The "fixes" to the health care plan signed into law several days ago are all ready for the President's signiture, having been voted on and approved by both houses of Congress. It seems ironic that the republicans would want to vote against fixes to the original senate bill that contained all of the little deals they say they didn't like. Of course how the issue in the news is all the hatred and violence directed against the democrats. People like Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck, rather than condemn this violence, instead point to the media and way they manufactured this whole reporting of the story as an issue. We can't have a nation that resorts to racial epithets and throwing bricks through people's window. Certainly any Democrat would agree that violence from either side is to be condemned. But the Republican right still refuses to admit their side is doing anything wrong. Sarah Palin is now being seen in public with John Mc Cain for the first time since the 2008 campaign and these inflamitory books were written where both sides despized the other. It seems John Mc Cain's philosophy is much more amenable to the ultra right political fringe than some of his own supporters may have suspected.
In George Washington's blog a recent posting said that smaller banks have been loaning out a lot of money and putting it in circulation. It's only the bigger banks, the ones that were bailed out, that are sitting on their funds. According to people on the far right, the reason why the big banks aren't lending is because they are "waiting for the next wave of real estate foreclosures" that fill find them short on cash. Some have argued that if the big banks went down and were out of the picture then the smaller banks would get more business, and since they are more willing to put money in circulation and rescue this economy, then everyone all around would profit.
There are these continuing stories of strange things going on in "Deep Space". Now it seems there are "rivers of dark matter that are two & a half light years long". And these streams are supposedly influenced by a gravitational field "made up of material that was thrown outside this universe during the Big Bang, but never the less continues to incluence matter inside this universe because of an enormous gravitational field". Also people continue to speak of giant black holes that are "continuing to grow". To all of this I say "poppycock". All of this is a mathematical impossibility, to those who have studied the special theory of relativity. In my postings I have proven that scenarios like this can't happen over and over. They say that our galaxy is riding in a "river of dark matter" that is two & a half light years long, and that our entire galaxy and scores of others are being whisked along at a million miles per hour to this one spot in the universe. I guess this "spot" would represent some gigantic gravitational sink, and presumably this river empties into some "drain". If there ARE any rivers or currents in the universe they are not caused by some central gigantic gravitational field, and certainly not one outside the Universe. They call it a Universe because it's a closed system. Even when this author has used the terms of parrellel universes- - -the ones I allude two are IMPOSSIBLE to reach from here and exert zero influence on our lives. Their only POSSIBLE connection to us is literally in the human imagination! Some person might happen to "imagine" something that is happening in this universe that REALLY IS happening over there, but chalk this up to coincidence and NOTHING MORE. Before I hear any more talk about mystery dark matter or giant black holes that are growing I want to see a piece of paper with a formula that disproves the theory of special relativity. If you can do that then we'll talk about black holes. Until them the rest of us can sit back on the secure knowledge that certain things are impossible.
