Boehner Stiffens Resolve On Debt Ceiling Raise

Don't worry, we aren't going to talk about Wiener Gate today. I have not viewed the photographs on line myself (I may be the only one who hasn't) so would appear stupid discussing them. Of course now they say it's spelled "Weiner", which of course is German for wine maker. It's funny the media hasn't picked up on that, if true. Of course a "wiener" is a Vienna sausage in German, and a Frankfurter is of course a citizen of Frankfort. Perhaps the poor man could get some judge to issue a gag order or (I guess that's a bad pun) - - or issue an injunction against the media discussing this twitter deboccle. John Boehner has if anything stiffened his resolve on not supporting a raise in the debt ceiling. They have to make a decision before August first. I imagine even before then the investment market will tighten in anxiety of things to come. Boehner says that now the cuts in the budget must Exceed the rise in the debt ceiling. This will be a tough thing to accomplish. On George Washington's blog, the headline is that the Federal Government has been issuing interest free money to the banks, who then turn around and lend it back to the federal government at a sizable profit. This is not news to any listeners to the Thom Hartman program. He's been saying the same thing for at least a year. It does point out the ineptness of Timothy Geitner and why this man hasn't been "shaken out" yet in the shake up of the cabinet a few months ago is a mystery beyond my comprehension. Now unemployment has notched up to 9.1% and that is the second consecutive rise in two months.

Mitt Romney announced today his intent to run for President. Again this is something everybody already new. He's about the sane Republican running and I voted for him in the primary three years ago. Judy favored him, despite the fact that the reason he lost the nomination is because Mc Cain nailed him in one of the republican debates on Iraq. Romney had stated that he said there should be some sort of a timetable for withdrawal, for for any Republican this is a bit No No. Of course all these other Republicans have to pray about it first. Tom Hartman seemed surprised that any Christian would make it 'All about them". He doesn't get to Calvary Chapel very much obviously. If there is two things Christians like to publicly flaunt it's how much time they spend in prayer, and the second is their "Humility". I guess they don't read what their LORD said on the subject of prayer in the Sermon on the Mount. So if Michelle Bachman decides to run for President it's because "God told her to". And for Huckibee God told him not to run. I wonder if God also told them to rewrite tax laws to favor the rich and shaft the poor from taking their support net away from them.

Disneyland has two new rides, one new and one familiar. The Little Murmaid ride is opening up in California Adventure. I guess I'll be invited to go on that on an outing sometime. And Star Tours has been refurbished. He was already a pretty realistic ride, giving you the sensation of actually flying through space in a shuttle craft. But now they have made it razor sharp digital, and also have made it 3 D. People like me and Leo Le Port don't particularly "get off" on most 3 D because in my case I have ambliopia. Other people just get a headache from it because it's an unrealistic "over-stimulation of the brain".

It was the night of April 15 - 16 of 1975 that I had one of my classic nightmare dreams. When you look back on it 35 years later it doesn't seem nearly so scarey. The timing of this dream just after the income tax deadline is not a coincidence lost on me. It begins in a department store when I am watching the color TV's. It was Days of our Lives and the family had made a trip to India- - or at least Tom and Alice and Mickey and Laura and Mikael. And Michael had become sick with a rare disease and Alice was giving him some special Indian tea for it. In another scene I was watching a TV documentary on various people of the Bible. They had just finished up Jacob and had started in on Joseph. And then "First Indian On the Moon" by Wings begins playing. I start to get a creepy feeling. Then some voice like God tells me personally "YOU - - are Joseph". I didn't want to be Joseph. The first part of his life was horrible. In the next scene I was like in some Jungle Cruise boat headed south down the Nile river. It was your typical Disneyland style guided tour. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon and the sun was shining brightly as we moved along. Then we turned to the right to the White Nile, and we were informed we were going to some secret destination. Again I felt anxious. In the next scene, again the Mc Cartney theme starts in again- - it's kind of your usual African safari scene by a river. Suddenly all the animals decide to stampede all at once as if in sheer terror. There were geraffs and zebras and rhinosserous, and elephants- - the whole bit making these screachy panic sounds. Some powerful - - force - - was obviously approaching. In another scene I was out on some large courtyard with stone tiles. I was walking around. I went up to a higher floor- - and this part of it looked kind of like the top of Griffith Park observatory - with lots of domed buildings with telescopes in them. And I was being chased around by these strange demon creatures and I was scurrying all over the place. Finally I climbed up into this secret passage in the roof of one of the domes and waited as they searched below. I thought I was safe but I wasn't entirely sure. - - - That's all the dream I remember. Perhaps I've forgotten something in 35 years. I did not dare even write this dream down for three weeks, till early May.

OK the NBA game is under way now and of course I'm routing for Miami. Unfortunately Dallas had an amazing run near the end and won the game. To continue with our little saga - - it was May of 1975 I was living in the house I grew up in. (once again) I remember that the neighbors would have regular fires in the fireplace, and there would be this bizzare incense smell to the smoke. It's something I've never smelled before or since. At the local library I took an interest in the book "Arachne Rising". This is the notion that in secret or "lunar astrology" there are thirteen signs and the 13th was Arachne, which as I recall we were just coming up on. They spoke of the 12 x 13 x 5 triangle. And there were five vertical letters that spelled out DARDA, which is kind of at the heart of Federation loore. And there was some dotted line in-between the two long triangle lines representing the true number of lunar cycles in one solar year. The motto is "we exist between the dark and the light". In late May I purchassed three record albums, "Spirit of America", "Dragonfly" (by the Jefferson Starship) and "Welcome to My Nightmare" by A C. (spiders free of charge) Parents invited me to go with Hawaii with them, which was out of character for them because these past years they had been taking vacations by themselves. Also out of character for them was not asking where I got the money for the trip, and to be able to order anything I liked to eat or drink, with never a worry I'd have to rely on them. Basically I spent the vacation apart from them doing my own thing, if you know what I mean. I went shopping at what was then Fed Mart for proper attire. Oddly enough two of the Hawaiian shirts purchassed that day mysteriously were found ripped to shreds when I took the clothes out of the washer one day in February of 1978. We left around June 8th or 10th or something like that for about twelve days on four islands. I might as well plug the airline. It was Western Airlines, and I was quite happy with the service. I remember getting off the plane and thinking how hot and muggy it was there- - like Miami or something. (not that I've ever been there) Going up the stairway to our Hotel room there were these wood carvings on the walls or something unusual. I had a flashback to - - I don't know - - I was with Pricilla Presley and Pricilla was remarking how unique these carvings were. I just installed a Real Player update. It's "Real" and not "reel". Of course in the Who song it's Real for "Rayall". The planet "Real" is one of the most Distant in the Federation from earth being beyond Reigel. Of course I had that late September UFO abduction "missing time" experiance where I think I went to Real. (The big question is why I didn't just STAY there) I remember the dry, clay like soil. I think there were a lot of Neon lights like Las Vegas or something. And I think there was an air strip (for regular jets) In October of 1967 I heard "Magical Mystery Tour" in a dream about six weeks in advance. I remember there were these Las Vegas lights and even churches were done up in gaudy, flashing signs, like that Simpson's episode. It's just my guess but I had a feeling these UFO people had "something else in mind for me" like send me into another life here on earth- - - and I wasn't buying, so they sent me back and attempted to erase my memory. There is more on this in late April of 2006 in a blog.

In terms of the news around here, Dr Saran picked out a good attorney for Dana to sue this place because they are under staffed and the staff did not insure the safety of the residents Tuesday morning. One of the staffers was attacked himself, and apparently just cut and run. Dana says it will be at least six months and probably longer before the case goes to court. He says his lawyer would decide on how much to sue for but it would probably be twenty thousand dollars. I have no animosity tword this place but I'm certainly going to testify to what I witnessed, since I was in the middle of it. I was interviewed by one of the major staff members around here and she seemed to be bending over backwards to try and get Luan off the hook for his actions. She used that age old chestnut "He's never exhibited this sort of violence before". How many serial killers have they said that of? As far as I know the police chose to do nothing. They were called but I don't ever remember hearing police sirens or seeing any cops around asking questions. I'm a little concerned that an awful lot of people have died suddenly in this place. It's thinking ten or fifteen years from now I might not be in secure hands should I have some medical crisis. But you know, you get what you pay for. You pays your money and you takes your chances.
