Some Unnoticed Trends

There's a famous line delivered by Captain Queeg when he first boarded the Caine and looked over the sloppily run ship and started enumerating problems and saaid, "These are things we are going to start noticing again". There are things any Democrat giving the Inogural Address next January will "start noticing again" such as moral hypocracy and biased judgements. Last night Bill Moyers was on KCET and they had the thing "The Selling of the Iraq War". They enumerated the many lies which were told about Iraq and Al Qaida connections and all those "aluminum tubes" and the notion that Saddam was keeping the inspectors from doing their job. It's interesting to see the wave of patriotism after 9 - 11 fanned into near Mc Carthy-esque hysteria on the part of the media. Donnahew was kicked off the air but even when he was on the air he had to have two conservatives for every one liberal he had, and he could never have a liberal alone. The media said if ever they said anything contrary to the Bush Adminestration line, they had to do it in an almost tongue and cheek fashion, and if any newspaper had an anti-Iraq story they could never run it on the front page. It almost reminded me of something out of Nazi Germany. It's no wonder then that the only two anti war speeches they showed from senators were from two old giesers who won't be around that much longer anyhow, Byrd and Kennedy. The most fanciful and manufactured roomers were repeated ad-nausium as fact. The farther you got from "The belt-way" the more different a picture of reality you got. The governments star witness was dropped by the CIA in the mid 1990's after they had been paying him money to talk, because they thought him unreliable. Comon sense would dictate that a control freak wouldn't want some "loose cannon" group like Al Qaida calling the shots or upstaging him. I guess you've heard that the military now has that "Ray Gun" which stuns you with a siering heat sensation, kind of like the contraption in "Dune" and yet the military has shown no interest in non lethal military weapons, even if there are many uses for them. They were not allowed to show civilian casualties in the Afghan war in the fall of 2001. It's no wonder then that all the leading democratic politicians of the day repeated the same propaganda lines.

One trend I've noticed looking at the music of yesterday. Have you noticed that the number of strongly or mildly Revolution themed pop songs on the radio markedly dropped between 1971 and 1973? In 1971 you have "Sign Sign" "One Toke Over the Line" "Bongla-desh" "Power to the People" "They Cut George Jackson Down" "Won't Get Fooled Again" and you have Led Zeppelin singing about girls from California with flowers in their hair. John Lennon was singing about those "Sons of tricky-Dicky". What happened to all those songs? The demarcation line seems to be approximately the Republican Convention in 1971. They had planned to hold the convention in San Diego but they were afraid of demonstrators and so moved the convention to Miami, which they could seal off because it was on an island. Mr. Buchannon, my history teacher of fall of 1972 said, "The era of Revolution is over. After the election, you won't be seeing the "new" reformed Nixon any more but he'll be back to the old Nixon of the 1950's taking bold new repressive steps against dissenters. The dark secret of Watergate is that it worked. All of the stuff we mentioned in the last paragraph was around in one form or another back then, as repressive steps were planned to thwart dissent. Like I say, as a liberal and I'm taking the oath of office as President, I'm going to proclaim, "These are things we are going to start noticing again". It's time for the journalistic community to wake up from their long slumber. I'd start by attempting ex post facto charges of impeachment against George Bush and Dick Chaney.

The most disturbing story by far in the news right now is the statement by Jeroldine Ferarro saying that Berock Obama would not be where he was were he not black. She also said if Obama were a woman of any race he'd never be where he was. This is the most transparently racist we've heard from the Clinton campaign. Hillary never fired her. She resigned of her own choice. Neither would Ferraro apologize in the slightest for any of the many remarks she has repeatedly made to various people on the subject. Instead she only amplifies on her remarks saying that her statements are somehow all Obama's fault. It's been noted that she herself was probably picked because she was a woman, with fewer qualifications at that time than Obama has now. I didn't like her then and wish Mondale had picked someone else. Now we hear that Jeroldine Ferarro is employed by FOX news. When Rush heard the news one thing became apparent. Rush is more reluctant to attack Hillary than he is to attack his own man, Mc Cain. He attacked Mc Cain for being too restrictive about what his campaign aids were allowed to say. Rush points with pride that he has no restrictions and say any under-handed thing about Obama that he wants to. Once again I refer you to the Randi Rhodes program for more gory details about Ferraro and Hillary. Rush Limbaugh says basically "Well, Obama had the remarks coming because now he knows what the Republicans went through for eight years in the ninties." I guess my advice to those super-deligates is, to quote the Ruttles, is "You'd better think twice, at least once more. We all need to mobelize and phone our super-deligates such as Feinstein and Boxer in California and give them a piece of our minds on this subject. Even Hillary supporters who were willing to give her a "pass" previously, will balk at this latest incident. You don't want people making comparrisons to Anne Coulter. My feeling now is that the forces of darkness will pervail and that Hillary will be awarded the nomination. I sure hope I'm wrong.

Political bias is manifest in our next story about this Spitzer guy who resigned today. Apparently it was some kind of set up with IRS agents infiltration the prostitution ring. Of course you know from watching Cops how agressive these cops posing as hookers can be. They're more agressive than used car salesmen. I don't know if it's worth exploring the motives that toppled this guy from his throne. We know he was vigilant in his enforcement of the law as AG and was known as the Sheriff of Wall Street. We don't want good democrats getting the axe. Why is it that when a good person gets fingered for something he resigns immediately, but when one of these right wing bozos get nabbed they seem to hang around forever. Now the new Lt. Governor is a Black guy who is legally blind. Maybe we could raise Ray Charles from the dead to play his part in the movie. Randy Rhodes wonders why the wives of these men show such loyalty. I, too, would like to comment on Laura Sleshenger's remarks. If she says "It's a wife's job to cater to her man and to acto like a hooker and feed his ego and stroke him so he won't stray" I can tell you as a man that isn't how it works. Men get restless and there are any number of reasons why. Many times I have had relations (not sexual) with Christians of the same sex, and they have flaked out on me for no reason at all. They seem to be driven by forces you can't see and exist only in their minds. I don't like the idea of a husband and wife always having to be "On" for each other. Sometimes a man comes home tired and doesn't want to engage in flattering strokes about how lovely his wife looks. I don't like the idea that a wife has to think of herself as a "legal" hooker and may say flattering things to her man she doesn't even mean just to get a new piece of jewelry or something, and he gets sex. One time Luis Faracon was on the radio and I recorded this message Faracon preached on the subject of a wife relating to her husband like a hooker. Laura's attitude is demeaning to men as well as to women. But then Laura's whole show is so down on women- - if they aren't putting on an act for their man, they are perpetual baby sitters with no sex life at all. I don't see how a woman could have self esteem listening to her show.

I see two deaths in the next year. I see Rush Limbaugh dying, probably of something heart related before January 20, 2010 if a democrat is in the White House. As I see it I don't think Rush will have anything to live for if a democrat gets into the White House and has decisive control of congress. There will be nothing to mock, and everything the democrats want will be getting passed. All Rush will be able to say is "Well I didn't like Mc Cain anyhow". Rush will become like a gorilla who's had his balls removed but is still posing for his Ape friends, who mock him. The other victim of death's hand is Chuck Smith. It's kind of ditto for him. From my latest information on Chuck Smith, he has really become down on this present world and sees the only future for mankind as death and deliverance into the hereafter. Then all the things Chuck claims to dread will take place. A lot of buildings will be named after him. While younger Christians will grow up never knowing who he was to begin with.
